The industry can be broadly classified into four sub-sectors, namely, electronic components, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, and electrical products.
Close association of electrical and electronic functions makes it one industry. Electrical engineering deals with the production & distribution of electricity through mechanical objects. On the other hand, electronic engineering involves designing of the components and circuits that make the electronic equipment. However, both the engineering streams work together to develop most of the electric products we use today.
